I have become quite the crunchy hippie. LOL all you want. ;) I drink Real Milk, follow Dr. Price's findings on nutrition, clean my house with non-toxic cleaners (baking soda, vinegar, H2O2), and no-poo (meaning that I wash my hair with baking soda and vinegar, not that I don't poop!) among many other natural ways to care for myself. I have a baby girl who I breastfeed (and will for as long as she wants), babywear, cloth diaper, co-sleep with, and love with all of my being.
On the opposite side of the spectrum are my hobbies. I'm a gamer chick. I play World of Warcraft (My main is Peleadora, primary alt is Happeria and I have lots of other ones (I blame it on my husband, ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) fabulameosvita, who's got a bad case of altitis). I love my TV shows despite not having much time to watch them (thank god for the DVR!). Buffy, Angel, Farscape, Firefly/Serenity, Dark Angel, Battlestar Galactica, Charmed, X-Files, House, CSI (Las Vegas only kthx), Big Brother, Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, Jericho, Meadowlands, John from Cincinnati, Dog the Bounty Hunter, The Naked Chef, Rick Stein's Food Heroes, Hell's Kitchen, Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, Top Chef, and Nip/Tuck are most of the shows I watch. I'm not caught up on all of them so don't go posting spoilers in my journal without asking first! Next on the list to watch are Roswell, Smallville, Weeds, and Doctor Who. I'm open to any suggestions, too. I also am a lover of anime. I don't have a huge background in it, but we've got quite the repertoire available for me to watch. Again, when I have time. :)
Yes, my old journal was torena. For me, that journal had become a place where I wasn't safe. I felt like there were things I couldn't talk about there, things that I didn't want to be judged on. I started off small on this journal and gradually have added other people as I see fit. I have made some great reconnections with old friends, and I have placed more trust in new friends as well as in myself.
Because of this, however, my journal is friends only. There is still a lot for me to figure out, and a lot for me to work on. Sometimes you'll find a "this is how my day went" entry, but I post about how I'm doing mentally and physically, how life is going, that sort of thing.
Last but not least, I have the most amazing man in my life. His name is Paul, and he is my husband. He has been the biggest rock, pillar of strength, gentle nudger, lover, best friend.. everything I could have ever asked for. We are also owned by a Norwegian Elkhound/Welsh Corgi mix named Bonita (aka Bonnie, Fartface, Fatty, Fatty McFartface, FartFart, Babydoll, Bonita Babydoll, BonBon, etc) and a Brussels Griffon named Dody (aka Doodlebug, Dodesicle, Dodes, Dody-man, Little Man, Dodybug, Monkey, etc). On June 12, 2007, our little Izzie was born. :) She is the light of our lives!!
Life on Mars? is my favorite song by David Bowie. David Bowie is one of my favorite artists. I also am a huge fan of 30 Seconds to Mars. I love music, but I've been very out of touch with it for a long time. I used to buy cds and memorize all the lyrics and look through the cover art and everything. I don't remember the last time I did that. That's soon to change.
